“Lunn og Vang - Plays Bo Diddley, Jimmy Reed and a bit of Jessie May Hemphill - and some late night slices of Fried Okra too.”

Morten Lunn and Fabian Vang set out to interpret songs by masters and mastereses. Bo Diddley and Jimmy Reed,  the lesser known but equally unique Jessie May Hemphil – Vang and Lunn will play their songs with respect but without orthodoxy, played as the songs may sound in 2025 with the line-up stripped down to two guitars and vocals. Morten Lunn – lead singer in the alternative blues band of Fried Okra – and Fabian Vang – guitarist in the Django Reinard jazzy Unicum trio and almost everywhere else on the Copenhagen blues and roots scene is artists of the month at Mojo Blues Bar in May.

To af Danmarks bluesscenes talenter har slået sig sammen for at dyrke deres fascination af alt fra Mississippi Delta- og Hill Country til Chicago Blues. Morten Lunn - frontmand i det alternative bluesorkester Fried Okra – og Fabian Vang kendt fra bl.a. Unikum Trio og Sonic Saliva udgør en velspillende duo. To guitarer og sang – såre simpelt - og nogle gange endda endnu enklere, når den ene guitar udskiftes med den enstrengede diddley bow. 
Nu har de to kastet sig over at spille nogle af bluesens gamle mestre og mesterinder – lige som de har lyst til. I maj er det Jimmy Reed, Bo Diddley og den ukronede Hill Country Blues droning Jessie May Hemphil.
Sent på aftnen fristes de måske til at servere lidt Fried Okra også – det vil vise sig!
