Med kærlighed til den enkle, rå blues fra USA har Fried Okra udviklet sit eget univers med ordrige tekster og stemningsfulde grooves. 
Fried Okra har udgivet flere albums og huseret på den danske bluesscene i flere år. “Unhesitatingly recommended to all who like beautifully crafted, lyrically rich, blues songs” - skrev Blues In Britain om Fried Okras album Doing It Right. I samme omgang blev Fried Okra nomineret til både DMA Blues’ livepris og Årets Blues Album. 
Fried Okra bevæger sig rundt i americana, rock og rootsblues, mens sangteksterne kan rumme både stærke følelser og selvironi - som her på Doing It Right:

 

With love for the simple, but powerful blues originating from especially the state of Mississippi, Fried Okra has developed their own universe with strong lyrics and hypnotic grooves. 
The Danish trio have performed internationally several times – playing their music in clubs, venues and on international festivals in Europe.
Fried Okra was nominated in the category Best Live Act at Danish Music Awards 2021, while their album Doing It Right (2020) was nominated for Blues album of the Year. Back in 2018, Fried Okra went to Norway to reach second place at the prestigious European Blues Challenge. 
In October 2024, Fried Okra released the album Deluxe Live.10 songs recorded live with the six piece-version of the band – Fried Okra Deluxe. The luxury line up included the much-in-demand musicians and solo artists Kristian Jørgensen(organ), Rune Højmark(gui./lap steel/mandolin) and Alain Apaloo(gui.).
