Julien D'Iimperio, JD Harmo can deliver a wailing, "big-tone", amplified urban Blues harmonica sound, reminiscent of Little Walter and Big Walter Horton,
or a lazy, soulful Louisiana "swamp" Blues sound. He brings back to life the classic blues you can hear on the timeless "Chess" or "Excello" records from the 1950s.
He will take you on a musical journey with a repertoire that includes Chicago, Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi blues,
paying tribute to the immortal sounds of Jimmy Reed, Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Lazy Lester, Jimmy Rogers, Slim Harpo and many more.
In spite of his Irish and French roots, he cut his teeth in Austin, Texas, in 2000, when working for Antone's record label by day and late night
sitting in on harmonica with some of the cities' finest (Gary Clarke Junior, Miss Lavelle White, the Keller Brothers, Uncle John Turner, Clarence Holloman and Gary Primich).
JD moved from France, his native country, to London UK, 15 years ago and plays wherever his Blues music takes him.
Recent shows include collaborations with Dexter Shaw (France) and Little Victor and his Combo (UK/ USA).
For this show , JD is teaming up with one of Europe's finest Blues musicians: Ronni Boysen (guitarist for Kokomo Kings and Mud Morganfield, son of Muddy Waters).
